We have substantial information about our geneology, and have learned a great deal since Pearl and John F Hullinger wrote Memories and Milestones. Clif Hullinger did a substantial amount of research, and we now have our paternal and maternal line back quite far. He found our Hullinger ancestry going back to Switzerland.

This is an American Coat of Arms for the Swiss-American Family of Holliger - Hullinger

The M -1 Rifle represents the rifles used by our family, including:

  American Revolution - Christian and Daniel Hollinger

  Blackhawk War - William Morgan Hart

  Civil War - Lewis Harlan, David Lockridge, James Chapin

  World War I - John and Harvey Hullinger

  World War II - Clifford, Ellis, Alan and Jack Hullinger

The Swiss Halberd was carried by our Swiss Hollinger forebears. It also stands for the weapons carried by our ancestors in England, Norway, and Native America.

The silhouette is of Ellis (Red) Hullinger, a real South Dakota cowboy, and represents our pioneer journey from Europe in 1735 west to Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, and South Dakota.
