The purpose of this document is to summarize the family history of the Hullinger / Harlans of Vivian, South Dakota. It also covers what we know of the ancestry of Hullinger or Hollinger or Holliger or Holiger or Harlan, with emphasis on the family of John and Pearl Harlan Hullinger. Other family names include Siddens, Kirk, Ford, Poole, Lockridge, Chapin, Hart, and Morgan.
Our foundation document was Memories and Milestones written by Pearl Harlan and John F. Hullinger in 1969. We have learned and continue to learn more about our family history. We will update this document as we learn more about our ancestry. Clif Hullinger developed a detailed genealogy that we have posted.
